EFFECTIVE PROGRAMMES

LALS’ programmes are designed to enable you to speak your new language as quickly as possible. You can choose from small group classes or individual tuition. Teaching techniques will focus on the communicative approach, which emphasises the spoken language. There are only 4-6 students per class, ensuring you will receive adequate personal attention.

You may start many programmes on any Monday of the year. Group programmes have set dates but usually run twice a month. Either way you need to contact LALS at least 8 weeks prior to your planned departure date. If you are beginning from scratch, we would advise you to take a Crash Course or a few Private Classes with us before going to Latin America or Spain to make the most of your total immersion course. YOUR HOST FAMILY

Latin American and Spanish people are extremely warm and welcoming. You will have an excellent opportunity to learn about the culture of the country you are visiting and to develop your language skills as rapidly as possible because you have the chance to practice what you learn in class a natural family setting. Most host families have one member that speaks English just in case you find yourself stuck for a moment during communication.

• Host families are middle class by local standards

• You will have a private room

• You will have 2-3 meals per day depending on the country you visit

• Homestays are located within either a short walk or bus trip of the school

• You will have the key to the house and your room so you can come and go as you please

• Should you would prefer to stay in a hotel LALS can help you to make the arrangements

THE LANGUAGE SCHOOLS

All the schools have facilities like fax, e-mail, money exchange, laundry, safety box and travel and tourism information. Some of them have additional services like gym, swimming pools, salsa classes, and guided tours. Programmes, prices, dates and activities vary depending on the country of destination. Most prices include:
