About LALS

Latin American Language Services -LALS was established in September 1997 to promote the teaching of Latin American language and culture among English companies dealing with Latin American region.

Based in Surbiton, Surrey in the South West of London, we work with highly qualified language teachers, translators and interpreters. Because LALS professionals originate in countries across Latin America we are able to help clients with very specific language and cultural issues. See our clients recommendations for a sample of our work.

Martha Jesty, the owner of this unique business, a UK qualified teacher, started LALS in Surbiton, after realizing the lack of knowledge that exist in UK regarding the differences in culture and language between Spain and Latin America.

The main aim of Latin American Language Services-LALS is to be a bridge of communication between the European and the Spanish speaking world. LALS clients need to have high quality services because of the importance of their business. They have chosen us because we know the Latin American, Spanish and European cultures and business environments.

Please contact us should you need more information on our services.

"British people find Latin American Spanish softer, slower and more musical, therefore easier to understand and learn combined with a richer and more vibrant culture" Martha Jesty, LALS director

We had a wonderful time in Peru . What an amazing country! What lovely people! The scenary! The Inca Trail…incredidle! Macchu Picchu……….amazing. Lake Titicaca……….beautiful, massive. I thought it was a little lake, it was like an ocean!

We would love to return one day. The people had spirit and there was so much uplifting and joy everywhere. Material poverty maybe but spiritual poverty………..no!
